Good ingredients. Better understood.
Amino Matchers makes food composition easier to explore: select the foods you eat, find useful combinations, measure a meal in the units you use, and see a day's recorded nutrition in context.
A food atlas, not a verdict
We include plant foods, eggs, dairy, meat and fish. You choose what belongs on your plate. We focus on whole foods and simple culinary ingredients, with exact preparation names and no brand catalogue or protein-isolate rankings.
A higher amino-acid score does not automatically make a meal healthier. Calories, fiber, minerals, preferences and practical portions matter too. A food can have a balanced profile before anything is added. Our tools show the tradeoffs and identify the source data behind each number.
Research that stays readable
Every study summary begins with a plain-language title and result. Original citations, species, methods, funding disclosures and limitations remain available. The research is an ongoing scoped review; it does not claim to have resolved every question or appraised every search result.
The calculator distinguishes measured facts, database estimates, missing values and modelled composition. It does not pretend to measure digestion or absorption. Read the research and the methods to see why those distinctions matter.
A small application with a long life
The website and installable PWA share a portable calculation engine, versioned data and an export format. They work without an account. A desktop application is planned as the final delivery stage, using the same calculations and interface. Desktop downloads are not available yet.
The initial food-data release is 2026-10-24.1. Research and source references were checked through October 24, 2026. Download data and see its coverage.
